0 Which Is Better, HTC EVo 4G Or Apple IPHone 4?

As quickly as HTC launched its latest smartphone, the Evo 4G, the fans of Apple and Android lovers began their war of words. The war is not about whether the Evo 4G or the Apple iPhone is a better value for the money, it is actually about which of the two is the cooler device! It is true that the new Evo has some awesome features that no other mobile phone can match, but aren’t you more interested in figuring out what phone is better suited to your needs?

To begin with, Evo 4G has a screen size that is unrivaled among smartphones. I am talking about a 4.3 inch large screen that provides substantial room to perform every function possible on a smartphone. You won’t be suffering with cluttered tweets, shrunken websites, or looking at and tapping on icons bundled close together resulting in more than one being tapped on the swame tap. The iPhone 4 on the other hand has a much smaller screen than the Evo, but to its credit, does produce a better resolution of 960 x 640 pixels compared to Evo’s 800 x 480 resolution. Therefore, the Apple iPhone will produce a slightly superior image quality than the EVo. Which one do you prefer?

Evo 4G operates on the Android 2.1 OS platform which has been specially adapted to accomodate the Evo’s theme. As for the iPhone 4, it runs on the iOS 4. It is entirely possible if you are a fan of Mac computers, that you would prefer the iPhone. However, because both of these quality phones cost about the same, it may be a good idea to closely examine the options of both phones making making a decision.

0 Some tips to clean your cellphone

Found this tips, perhaps it can be useful for you :
  • Rubbing alcohol is the best to use on most of your phone (buttons, speaker area, etc) for getting rid of germs and oils, however on some older models that have the plastic encasement over the display you will want to use glass cleaner on that particular part or else the plastic covering may turn opaque.
  • You may also want to occassionally clean the bottom where you connect the charger. For this, you can dip a soft bristled toothbrush in a bit of rubbing alcohol (do not immerse it) and gently brush the connection area to free up any goo or small particles that are wedged or blocking your connectors.
  • Never use any type of liquid behind the battery. Most phone manufacturers have a dot or line on the back behind the battery that - if gotten even remotely wet or damp - will leave a tell-tale mark. It won't hurt your phone, but if you should have an issue while it is under warranty they will assume it is water damage and won't even bother taking it apart to see otherwise.

0 How to install Iphone Themes

Here is a complete guide of How to install Iphone Themes:

If a theme is not available through the installer, you will have to add it manually yourself. First, you will need to use the installer.app and install OpenSSH on your iPhone.

You will then need to install WinSCP on your computer. Macs come with openssh but if you’d like some alternatives check here. To connect to WinSCP you will need to go into your settings on your iPhone into Wi-fi, click on the little arrow next to the Wi-Fi you are connected to and get the ip address. Now open WinSCP on your computer….the Host Name is your ip address (with the periods) the user name is root and the password is alpine. Don’t worry about the Private key file, you don’t need to put anything there. Hit login.

Once WinSCP opens, the themes go into the var/root/library/SummerBoard/Themes folder on 1.1.2 and lower and in the var/mobile/library/SummerBoard/Themes folder on 1.1.3 and above. . Once you are in that folder you will see all the themes that are on your iPhone. This is where you will want to add your new themes.

Create a folder somewhere on your computer that is the title of the theme you would like to add (ex…Chalkwork) then inside of the Chalkwork folder create another folder called Icons (with a capital “I”). Inside the Icons folder put all of the icon images that you would like to have. They must be named the same as the Title of the app, starting with a capital (Ex…Calendar, Customize, SummerBoard, Photos, Stocks….). You can also add a Dock and Wallpaper to the Chalkwork folder, they also need to be capitalized (do not put them in the Icons folder…just in the main Chalkwork folder). Once you have a folder of the theme with a folder of icons inside it you just drag the whole folder, Chalkwork, into Themes on WinSCP and hit Copy. Once it is done transferring you can go on your iPhone into SummerBoard and select the theme you just added. Note: your iPhone has to be on for the file to transfer!

If you are downloading a theme that is in a zip file…you will have to open the zip file and then create a folder on your computer that is the same name as the theme you are trying to download. Then copy the Icons folder from the zip file into the folder you created on your computer. This unzips the file so that you can add it to SummerBoard through WinSCP. You can also copy the wallpaper and dock out of the zip file into the file you created if you would like them too.

0 Two interesting cellphone tips for you

I just bump into two interesting cellphone tips and I hope these tips useful for you guys.

1) Hidden Battery power
Imagine your cell battery is very low, and your expecting an important call and you don’t have a charger. Nokia phones come with a reserve battery. To activate, press the keys *3370#. Your phone will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged again when you charge your phone next.

2) Use your phone to open your car

This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are home, call someone at home on your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the other person at your home press the unlock button on your spare keys, holding it near the phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other “remote” for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the boot).
